Residential Training

Have you tried to train your dog already but had no success?

do you feel out of your depth?

not able to dedicate the time and consistency your dog needs to overcome their issue?

There is no doubt that the beginning of a training plan is the most difficult part, it requires good timing, handling, confidence and consistency, by doing the hardest part for you, we can take the stress out of your training journey.

We have the training solution for you! Residential training is the best way to get a head start on your dogs training plan. By having a qualified behaviourist and trainer doing the training for you, you can achieve progress much quicker. You will then receive full instructions on how to continue working with your dog to maintain their training, however your dog will already know a set of commands and have newly ingrained behavioural patterns which will make your part much easier.

What is residential training ?

Residential training is where your dog boards at home with us and undergoes intensive training. Typically, residential training programs are in a kennel environment where facilities tend to focus on a higher volume of dogs for longer stays. This can be much more stressful to your dog due to long periods of time in a kennel environment. We train your dog in real-world environments, in our home, offering multiple training sessions per day, as well as exercise, walks, naps and playtime. While your dog is with us you’ll receive daily updates, pictures and videos.

4 Week Advanced Obedience

This program focuses on both on and off-leash obedience with the same principles as the basic programme. However, this package is more geared towards dog owners that want to take their dogs anywhere and everywhere.

We train the basic obedience and then spend week 2 and 3 doing environmental training in parks, cafes, shops, towns, etc.

3-4 Week Behavioural Modification

A course specifically designed for dogs that are aggressive/ reactive towards people or other dogs. Most of the dogs that I deal with have aggression issues, and I understand how upsetting it can be for owners and their dogs.  Many cases of dog aggression can be very complex and I’ll work through the rebalancing period with both you and your dog. Although this course can not promise to ‘cure’ all aggression it can help to build a foundation for conditioning the future behaviour of your dog and give you the skills and confidence to manage it. The 4 week programme is also suitable for dogs with resource guarding and fears and phobias.
